Merit Medical Systems, Inc. (MMSI) announced on Monday that its President, Joseph C. Wright, will resign effective January 3, 2025. Prior to this decision, the company received allegations concerning Mr. Wright's conduct. These allegations were thoroughly examined by Merit's independent directors, with guidance from external counsel, and were found to be unrelated to the company's operations or financial performance. Following Mr. Wright's resignation, the Board of Directors at Merit has decided to reinstate Fred P. Lampropoulos as the company's President.
