Taiwan Consumer Mood Falls to 11-Month Low
In March 2025, Taiwan's consumer confidence index slightly decreased to 71.86 from 72.59 in February, reaching its lowest point since April 2024. All sub-indices experienced a decline in sentiment: price expectations fell to 35.26 from 36.46, the timing for purchasing durable goods dropped to 101.99 from 102.79, and perceptions of family financial conditions declined to 81.94 from 82.63. Additionally, views on domestic economic prosperity slipped to 86.8 from 87.41, while opinions on the timing for stock investments decreased to 49.89 from 50.48, and perceptions of employment opportunities diminished to 75.25 from 75.78.
