Colombia Consumer Sentiment Still Pessimistic
In March 2025, Colombia's consumer confidence index experienced an uptick of 4.9 points from the previous month, reaching -7.1. Despite this improvement, it marked the 33rd consecutive month of negative sentiment, remaining well below the peak of -1.1 recorded in June 2022, which was the first month of that year. The easing of negative sentiment was primarily attributed to a 5.5 percentage point boost in the future expectations component, which improved from -9.5 to -4.0. Additionally, the indicator for current economic conditions saw an increase of 3.8 points, moving from -15.7 to -11.9.
