Ghana Inflation Rate Slows to 5-Month Low
In March 2025, Ghana's annual consumer inflation rate decreased for the third consecutive month, reaching 22.4%, the lowest level in five months. This improvement was supported by the stability of the cedi. However, the inflation rate remains significantly above the Bank of Ghana's target range of 8%, which has an allowable tolerance band of 6% to 10%. Both food and non-food product price growth showed moderation, with food prices increasing by 26.5% compared to 28.1% in February, and non-food product prices rising 18.7% compared to 18.8%. On a monthly scale, consumer prices experienced a modest rise of 0.2%, marking the smallest increase in seven months, following a 1.3% rise in the previous month.
