Poland Industrial Output Hits 5-Month High

In March 2025, Poland experienced a 2.5% increase in its industrial output compared to the same period the previous year, marking a recovery from a two-month downturn, which included a 1.9% decline in February. This rise, however, was less than the anticipated market growth of 3.6%. Manufacturing showed notable growth with a 3% increase, up from a 2.1% decline in February. Additionally, there was a slight rise in the water supply, sewerage, waste management, and remediation sectors, registering a 1.8% increase compared to 1.3% previously. Although mining and quarrying continued to contract, the decline slowed from -12.6% to -5.9%. Conversely, production in the electricity, gas, steam, and air-conditioning sectors sharply decreased by 1.1%, after having risen by 6.5% in February. On a month-to-month basis, industrial production rebounded significantly by 8.6%, offsetting the prior month's 0.3% decline.
