Poland Producer Deflation Eases in March
In March 2025, Poland witnessed a year-on-year decline in producer prices by 1.1%, aligning perfectly with market forecasts and showing a slight improvement from the 1.3% decrease observed in February. This represents the twenty-first successive month of producer price deflation, albeit at a moderated pace. This deceleration is attributed to a less pronounced decline in manufacturing prices, which fell by 1.3% compared to the previous 1.6%, and an increase in prices within the water supply and waste management sector, rising to 2.7% from 2.3%. Concurrently, more severe price reductions were recorded in the mining and quarrying sector, decreasing by 2.1% compared to 1.4%. Additionally, the rate of increase in the supply of electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning slightly tapered off to 0.1% from the previous 0.8%. On a month-to-month basis, producer prices recorded a marginal decrease of 0.3%, following a 0.2% drop in February.
