South Korea's Consumer Sentiment Inches Higher in April
In April 2025, South Korea experienced a modest uptick in consumer confidence as the Composite Consumer Sentiment Index (CCSI) slightly increased to 93.8 from 93.4 in March. The assessments of living standards and their future outlook remained stable at 87 and 92, respectively. Projections for future household income remained unchanged at 96, while the sentiment towards anticipated household spending increased by one point, reaching 105. Despite a three-point decline in perspectives on current domestic economic conditions, sinking to 52, optimism for future economic conditions improved by an identical margin to 73. The anticipated inflation rate for the coming year was projected at 2.8%.
