US Exports Surge 2.9% to All-Time High
In February 2025, U.S. exports of goods and services surged by $8.0 billion, setting a new record of $278.5 billion. This increase comes as businesses and consumers globally brace for an intensification of the trade war anticipated in March. The rise in goods shipments, amounting to $8.3 billion, was primarily fueled by substantial boosts in nonmonetary gold sales, which climbed by $3.2 billion, capital goods, including computer accessories and civilian aircraft, rising by $2.7 billion, and automotive vehicles, parts, and engines, increasing by $1.6 billion.
