Bulgaria Tourist Arrivals Up 5.6% in July
Tourist arrivals in Bulgaria experienced a year-on-year increase of 5.6%, reaching 2,004,700 in July 2025, recovering from a 3.1% decline in the previous month. All recorded categories of travel purposes showed growth. Visitors from the European Union made up 54.6% of the total entries, led by Romania at 28.1%, with Germany following at 16.7%, Poland at 9.6%, and Greece at 8.6%. Additionally, arrivals from non-EU European countries contributed 37.2% to the total, with Turkey making up a significant portion at 41%.
