Ibovespa Drops on Tuesday
On Tuesday, the Ibovespa index registered a minor decline of 0.2%, finishing at 137,771. Investors were assessing both policy and macroeconomic developments, with particular focus on the second ministerial meeting aimed at coordinating a response to U.S. tariffs, alongside the government's announcement of a R$12 billion credit initiative for industrial modernization. The IPCA-15 index recorded a 0.14% decrease in August, following a 0.33% increase in July, indicating reduced near-term inflationary pressure and maintaining the potential for a possible easing cycle by the central bank. Additionally, attention remained on the pre-salt oil exploration auction set for December 4, a critical event for investment and fiscal revenue. In the stock market, Petrobras saw a 0.7% decline, while Vale experienced a 0.7% increase. The banking sector displayed mixed results; Itaúsa dropped 1% and Bradesco decreased by 0.4%, whereas Banco Do Brasil rose by 1% and Santander by 1.1%.
