US 1-Year Inflation Expectations Seen Steady at 4.8%
In September 2025, the University of Michigan's survey reported that the year-ahead inflation expectations in the United States remained steady at 4.8%, unchanged from August but still higher than the previous five-month low of 4.5% recorded in July. Additionally, the five-year inflation outlook rose for the second month in a row, hitting a three-month peak of 3.9% in August, an increase from 3.5% in July.
