US Capital Inflows Rise for 3rdt Month in July
In July 2025, the net foreign acquisition of long-term securities, short-term US securities, and banking flows resulted in an overall net inflow of $2.1 billion. Foreign entities expanded their investment in long-term US securities by $78.8 billion, with private investors contributing $72.4 billion in net purchases and foreign official institutions adding $6.4 billion. Concurrently, US investors increased their stakes in long-term foreign securities, with net purchases totaling $29.6 billion.
