Argentina Industrial Production Drops in August
In August 2025, Argentina experienced a 4.4% decline in industrial production compared to the same month the previous year, marking a significant downturn following a 9.3% increase in July. The decrease was widespread across various sectors, with food and beverages declining by 2.4%, tobacco by 9.1%, textiles by 15.3%, clothing and footwear also by 15.3%, oil refining, coke, and nuclear fuel each by 1.6%, chemical products and substances by 1.6%, rubber and plastic products by 1.6%, non-metallic mineral products by 3.9%, basic metallic industries by 3.9%, machinery and equipment by 12.8%, vehicles and vehicle parts by 5.9%, and furniture and other manufacturing by 1.0%.
