Brazil Car Sales Rebound in September
In September 2025, new car sales in Brazil showed a promising recovery, increasing by 7.9% from the previous month to reach 243,200 units. This marked a turnaround from the 7.3% decline seen in August. Specifically, sales of passenger cars increased by 3.6% to 178,600 units, and light commercial vehicle sales saw a robust 24.7% growth, totaling 52,900 units. Meanwhile, bus sales rose by 13.6% to 1,954 units, and truck sales experienced a 9.9% increase, reaching 9,800 units. Notably, the passenger car segment witnessed a significant surge in sales for Audi, with a 49.5% increase. Additionally, auto imports rose by 7%, whereas exports decreased by 4.5%. On a year-over-year basis, total vehicle sales grew by 2.9%.
