
In September 2025, Turkey experienced a modest increase in foreign visitors, with a rise of 0.5% compared to the same month last year, reaching a total of 6.09 million. This comes after a 2.1% growth in August of the same year. When examining the top five countries of origin, there was an uptick in visitors from Russia (up by 5.2%), Germany (up by 5.8%), and Poland (up by 0.8%). In contrast, there was a decline in arrivals from the UK (down by 6.5%) and Iran (down by 10.7%). Antalya continued to be the leading destination, attracting 37.3% of all foreign tourists, trailed by Istanbul at 29.4% and Mugla at 9.2%. Over the nine-month period from January to September, foreign tourist arrivals experienced a slight decline of 0.7% year-on-year, totaling 41.57 million.
