US Natural Gas Stocks Rise More than Expected
U.S. utilities injected 80 billion cubic feet of natural gas into storage for the week ending October 3, 2025. This exceeded market projections, which anticipated a 76 billion cubic feet increase. The latest increment brings total gas stockpiles to 3,641 billion cubic feet, surpassing the previous year's level by 23 billion cubic feet and the five-year average of 3,484 billion cubic feet by 157 billion cubic feet. At this level, the overall working gas inventory remains within the historical five-year range.
