The annual inflation rate in Lima, Peru's capital, held steady at 1.35% in October 2025, only slightly dipping from September's figure of 1.36%. This rate remains close to the lower bound of the central bank's target range of 1% to 3%. Price increases in recreation and culture moderated (2.53% compared to 2.69% in September), but this was balanced by quicker increases in prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages (0.80% from 0.59%) and transportation (0.50% from 0.30%). Conversely, housing and utilities witnessed a sharper decline in prices (-1.52% versus -1.15%). On a month-to-month basis, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) saw a slight decline of 0.10% in October, following a marginal rise of 0.01% the previous month.
