
In October 2025, Slovenia's unemployment rate experienced a slight increase, rising to 4.6% from September's 4.5%. This represented the highest unemployment figure since March, with the number of unemployed individuals increasing by 1,726 from the previous month, totaling 45,670. During October, 7,232 new unemployment registrations were recorded, a 23.8% increase from September, including 2,789 people entering the job market for the first time. On average, 45,195 individuals were unemployed each month from January to October, a 1.5% decline compared to the same period last year. Concurrently, employers reported 11,998 job openings, a decrease of 7.3% from the previous year, with 131,673 vacancies reported in the first ten months, reflecting a 3.1% drop from the previous year.
