US business inventories edged up 0.1% month-over-month in December 2025, following a revised flat reading in November and in line with market expectations. Stock levels increased across all major categories: merchant wholesalers (0.2%, unchanged from November), retailers (0.1% vs -0.4% previously), and manufacturers (0.1% vs 0.2%). On an annual basis, total business inventories were 1.6% higher in December.
