Next week, the focus in financial markets will shift to the commencement of the US earnings season, during which major banks such as Citigroup, Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan Chase, Wells Fargo, Bank of America, and Morgan Stanley will announce their financial results. As the US government shutdown progresses into its third week, the issuance of crucial economic data, including the Consumer Price Index (CPI), faces potential delays. Nevertheless, traders will pay close attention to other scheduled reports, such as industrial production figures, the NAHB housing market index, manufacturing surveys from the Philadelphia and New York Federal Reserves, and the NFIB Small Business Optimism Index. In China, the spotlight will be on trade statistics, inflation rates, and banking activities. In Europe, investors will be closely monitoring Eurozone industrial production, the final inflation readings, Germany's ZEW economic sentiment index, and the UK’s labor market and GDP figures. Additionally, political developments in Japan will remain a point of interest. The International Monetary Fund (IMF) is also set to release its World Economic Outlook.
